Dr. Suzie Gough Bio

Dr. Suzie Gough graduated from CSU with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in 2010. She grew up in the outskirts of the Jersey shore and the Philadelphia suburbs, but in addition to living in Colorado she has also lived in Flagstaff, Albuquerque, Delaware, and Alaska. She even lived in Israel for 6 months when she did a semester abroad as an undergrad. You could say she has a bit of wanderlust and thrives with diversity. Three years ago she began working as a relief veterinarian in part to enjoy the variety of different clinical settings and cultures.

Two years ago Suzie earned her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture from the Chi Institute, and continues to study all aspects of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) at Chi. She began providing housecalls for veterinary acupuncture a year ago and has found that working with pets and their owners in the comfort of their own home lends the perfect combination of security for the pet while allowing Suzie to practice in a calm, non-rushed setting which can be challenging to find in a clinic setting. Suzie is grateful to have connected with the founders of Heal and appreciates the value they place in the therapeutic setting, and she is excited to now include general practice services in the home as well.

In her free time, Suzie enjoys yoga, knitting, hiking, and spending time with her husband Joshua and their ridiculous Standard Poodle Bert. If you have a few hours to spare, ask her to show you some pictures of him!
